Processing a DSLR Digitised Black and White Film with Affinity Photo
This videos shows how to process a Black and White film digitised with a DSLR camera.
The process starts from opening the RAW file in Affinity Photo’s Develop Persona. In short and in order, the steps are:
- invert colours’ curves on by one, and then tweak them right before the clipping appears;
- adjust, in the black and white tab, the blue and the cyan sliders;
- adjust exposure, black point and brightness;
- adjust microcontrast (carefully, to avoid film grain to pop up);
- adjust shadow and highlights;
- Develop the RAW files;
- in Photo Persona add adjustement layers for levels, shadows and highlight.
