We Make Cars, Not Videogames – An independent proof-of-concept in AI-made advertising

This video is a proof-of-concept for a short advertising campaign entirely designed and realised with an AI service. A bona fide brand, Alfa Romeo, was chosen to ascertaining the performance of the AI in a real-life scenario.

The claim, ‘We make cars, not videogames’, targets ‘petrolhead’ customers who are attracted to the mechanical aspect of driving rather than its gamification through digitised cockpits, virtual assistants, and entertainment systems. While this approach may be effective for promoting a particular model, it should be handled carefully as it could backfire if a company also produces ‘gamified’ cars.

The platform was only fed with the claim ‘We make cars, not videogames’, and asked to produce the script, the storyboard, the pre-vis shot list and the shooting plan. Several attempts were necessary to obtain viable results, but eventually it has been possible to create the full version.
